The TCLF SkillBridge Project

The Pact for Skills, one of the flagship actions of the European Skills Agenda 2020-2025, aims to mobilise public and private stakeholders to enhance upskilling and reskilling, supporting the green and digital transition. The TCLF Pact for Skills has been established to address the specific needs and challenges of the Textile, Clothing, Leather, and Footwear (TCLF) sectors, ensuring the workforce in these industries is equipped with the necessary skills to adapt to technological advancements and sustainability demands. The TCLF Skills Alliance was later launched to unite stakeholders who signed the Pact.
This Alliance promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing to implement the TCLF Pact for Skills objectives, enhancing strategic skills development in these industries through ongoing dialogue and exchange. To support the development and implementation of the Pact at regional level, EURATEX, CEC, and COTANCE have launched the TCLF SkillBridge project, co-funded by the European Commission’s DG GROW. This new action complements the ongoing METASKILLS4TCLF and AEQUALIS4TCLF projectsand aims to establish multi-stakeholder skills partnerships across EU regions relevant to the TCLF sectors working on upskilling and reskilling the respective TCLF workforce. Project activities include, but are not limited to, supporting stakeholders in creating partnerships and drafting collaboration agreements, a mobility scheme for stakeholders, assistance in developing sustainability plans for funding access, and funding for at least 10 training or mentorship projects tailored to SMEs' specific needs within the TCLF sectors.
