Aperçu de l’image
We are pleased to announce that the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA), the world’s first global organisation dedicated to cashmere sustainability, and the Cashmere and Camel hair Manufacturers Institute (CCMI), representing the interests of camel hair, cashmere, and superfine wool producers and manufacturers globally, have become co-signatories of our Joint Statement on Durability in the A&F PEFCR.

SFA & CCMI endorsement broadens the Statement's impact, connecting it to a global network of supply chain actors, stakeholders, and industry experts committed to honest and transparent consumer information and driving positive change in natural fibre value chains.

Joint Statement

"The Sustainable Fibre Alliance is pleased to join the Joint Statement on Durability in the A&F PEFCR, evidencing global collaboration among animal fibre value chains in the field of consumer information on product durability and sustainability. This Statement highlights the urgent need for accurate and fair metrics for durability of natural materials, such as cashmere and leather, as cornerstones of responsible production and consumption."- says Ms Una Jones, CEO & Founder of the Sustainable Fibre Alliance.

"At the same time, this collaboration reinforces the commitment to protecting and championing natural materials and their essential role in the circular economy. In a world increasingly dominated by artificial substitutes marketed as sustainable alternatives. Together, we are paving the way for a future where sustainability is not just a goal but a shared responsibility that connects industries and nations" - says Mr Fabio Garzena, President of CCMI.

"We are delighted to welcome the Sustainable Fibre Alliance and Cashmere and Camel hair Manufacturers Institute as a co-signatories of the Joint Statement on Durability in the A&F PEFCR. Their endorsement highlights the urgent need that the benefits for the circular economy of natural materials are better known and appreciated. For that, we all need apparel and footwear durability metrics ensuring that environmental footprints truly reflect reality rather than fast fashion practices." - says Gustavo Gonzalez-Quijano, Secretary General of COTANCE.
