CheMI Manifesto
Together with 300,000 European companies and 14 other European industry associations, COTANCE signs the CheMI Manifesto to advocate for improvements in the EU's chemical regulatory framework affecting the manufacturing industry using chemicals in their processes.
In our joint CheMI Manifesto, we call on EU legislators to focus on:
-
Impact Assessment: Ensuring that the effects on downstream users of chemicals, especially manufacturing industries, are considered through comprehensive impact studies and setting sensible transition periods for regulatory adaptation.
-
Fair Competition: Advocating for enhanced market surveillance to ensure all products entering the EU market comply with relevant chemical legislation, protecting our businesses and consumers.
-
Boosting Competitiveness: Prioritizing the competitiveness of European industries to strengthen our strategic resilience.
-
Better Regulation: Supporting legislation that is evidence-based and effectively reduces unnecessary burdens, particularly for SMEs.
Join us in shaping a sustainable and competitive future for Europe’s manufacturing industry relying on high-performance chemicals.
