Amici per la Pelle highlights the younger generation’s passion for leather
If you attended Lineapelle but missed the ‘Amici per la Pelle’ contest, you truly missed something special! It was the place to witness the passion and endless possibilities of leather while finding inspiration in the creativity of the next generation of young creators!
On February 27, the auditorium of Fiera Milano Rho welcomed 1,000 students from across Italy for the 14th edition of ‘Amici per la Pelle’ (Friends of Leather) contest, organised by UNIC – Concerie Italiane (COTANCE member) in collaboration with LINEAPELLE.
This year’s theme, ‘CIRCENSES – Leather in Circus Games from Ancient Rome to Today’, invited young creators to explore the artistic and historical bond between leather and the magic of the circus. And believe us—the connection between leather and the circus world has always been strong! From Roman gladiators in leather saddles to medieval masks and modern circus costumes and props, leather has always been part of the spectacle!
