I studied leather craftsmanship at school and entered the leather industry in January 2011. I was offered this job opportunity by a good old friend. The processes here seemed to be very complicated at first sight, but as the days passed they became more and more simple. I got support from my leaders and I was able to try and learn lots of different work processes.
I started as a cutting operator and worked on 3 shifts but soon I was promoted to cutting technician, which I attribute to my attitude towards work, the support of my leaders and my desire for knowledge. I proved again that many things can be achieved with devoted work. Our processes and working environment improved a lot, which is thanks to just a little care and maintaining continuous contact with the workers, a trend still continues. In my current position, I’m now more involved in bigger projects, but of course if the workers come to me, I try to help them as much as I can.
I learned the knowledge required to fulfill my current role on the job, but I also participated in more training, in order to be able to give my best at my work. I am lucky because with most of my projects, I help and support the work of other workers, as well as processes and I try to make the layout of the workplace as good as possible. I am well aware that the best ideas come from the workers, who are working at the specific areas. I can continuously keep in touch with them, and ask their opinion about the different corrective actions.
