OVERVIEW

1 - How did you come to the leather industry?


My father worked in a tannery. When the time came for me to choose a profession, he suggested that I get a job at the tannery. He helped me learn the trade and I started to like what I was doing. With my income, I could provide for myself and for my family.


2 – What job are you performing in the leather industry?


I lead the team of tanners in the wet-end shops and deal with all chemical administration operations. I am the liaison between commercial and technical departments.


3 - What qualification or training did you do to be there?


All training and refresher courses were organized by the tannery.


4 - What do you (most) appreciate in your job?


The tangible things that come out of this activity. I like everything that is involved in the making of a batch of leather. I like the team work environment.
